In a world of relentless pain and grief, Tu b’Av comes to testify that the Torah and Judaism we need now and into the future is rooted in love.
This Tu b’Av (affectionately called Yahhhh b’Av by Reb Arthur), join The Shalom Center, ALEPH, and friends to reflect upon, embody, and uplift the kind of transcendent love this holiday comes to define.
During the webinar, Reb Arthur Waskow, Arlene Goldbard, and Rabbi Tamara Cohen will each share Yahhhh b’Av Torah. Cantor Linda Hirschhorn will offer accompanying music. And participants will be supported through a practice of writing original Yahhhh b’Av midrash.
This webinar-as-actifest will be an opportunity for all who are present to reflect upon, embody, and uplift the love of Yahhhh b’Av, helping to nourish and inspire a love in our hearts that is so needed these days.
We also want to acknowledge that we are blessed to be able to celebrate another holiday with Reb Arthur, especially one that is dear to him and bursting with meaning and possibility. We are grateful for each opportunity we have to learn and be with him.
Tu b’Av (Yahhhh b’Av) this year falls on Shabbat - Saturday, August 9th. This webinar will take place the following day - Sunday, August 10th - as we keep the love flowing and growing.
