The Weaponization of Antisemitism: Skill Building Miniseries (2 of 2)

Based on participant enthusiasm from her recent Weaponization of Antisemitism class in the fall of 2025, Cherie Brown will be offering a new two-session miniseries this winter, focused on skill training and real life application around issues of antisemitism, the intersection of antisemitism and racism, and Israel/Palestine.

Registrants for the new skill training miniseries will automatically receive recordings from Cherie’s introductory class. If you have not watched Cherie’s initial series, we request that you please watch all three recordings before beginning this new skill training miniseries.

Class Details

Tuesday January 13th, 7-9pm ET - Listening and Building Allies With People We Strongly Disagree With

In today's divided world, it's easy to only engage with those who agree with us. But building a larger and stronger movement to bring about systemic change will require relationship building and winning over allies.

In this session, we will explore tools for listening to people we strongly disagree with, understanding what blocks us from hearing them, and healing the emotions that get in the way. Skills will be taught for listening undefensively, drawing others out, and knowing when and how to share our own point of view. During the session, the group will choose a divisive political issue we don’t agree on and learn how to listen to the heartfelt concerns underneath divisive positions.

Tuesday
January 27th, 7-9pm ET - Practical Application Using Real-life Scenarios

In this session, participants will be invited to e-mail Cherie before the class to share live situations they are dealing with in their lives related to antisemitism, the intersection of antisemitism and racism, or Israel/Palestine issues. For instance, this might be a relative who takes opposing positions, an organization wanting to pass a resolution that divides its members, a local election mired in claims of antisemitism, etc. Cherie will select several live scenarios and demonstrate skills for handling each situation with coalition building skills. There will be work in pairs to practice the skills Cherie is demonstrating.

The skill building miniseries is a two session series. One-time registration includes recordings for both class sessions in this series. Registration also includes all three recordings from Cherie’s initial Weaponization of Antisemitism class. If you have not watched those sessions, we request that you please watch all three recordings before the skill training miniseries begins.

If you did not register for Cherie’s initial Weaponization of Antisemitism class and are just registering now, you are encouraged to choose a higher price point when you register, since you will be receiving recordings from the first three sessions in addition to this series. Alternatively, you might choose to make an “additional donation” when prompted during registration.
