Jewish Magic & Poetry with Hannah Yerington (3 of 3)

A three-part generative poetry workshop exploring Jewish folk practice, plant medicine, and writual.

In this online class, taught by award-winning poet Hannah Yerington, participants will engage with Jewish magic to create poetry, art, and protection for dark winter nights.

Part practice, part reading, part creation, attendees will access dreams, prayers, and writuals (ritual as writing/writing as ritual) through Jewish folk practices like bulsikas, angel cards, and meeting our plantcestors.

Jewish Magic is community care. It is holy whimsy. It connects us to ourselves, our hidden lineages, and pasts stolen from us. It is a way of reclaiming prayer—and it’s fun! As the months turn and the dark settles, traverse together towards Hanukkah in a unique and earth-based way.

No materials needed (only simple household items).

Open to all. Space is limited.
