Join Rabbi Jill Hammer, co-founder of the Kohenet/Hebrew Priestess movement, and Rabbi Waskow, as they explore the remarkable text titled “The Thunder: Perfect Mind” found in the “Gnostic” library at Nag Hammadi, Egypt. This text begins with the same “Anokhi” — the Hebrew word for the Supernal “I” that comes when the Universe says “I” — as the begins the Ten Utterances at Sinai. But here there are about 40 verses that begin “Anokhi.” They are all in a Woman’s voice and they all speak of paradox in the world. We might imagine that they came at Sinai to the women, whom the Torah hints were gathered at the other side of the Mountain.
This is the first of a three-part series entitled, “Beyond Sinai: The Spirit Keeps Rising.” Information for session 2 can be found here and information for session 3 can be found here.
